The lithograph print poster is published by The Ministere Des Travaux Publics, Des Transports Commisariat General Au Tourisme, printed in France in 1964 in an unnumbered limited edition by Imp. Mourlot - Paris. Published by and for The French Government " Ed. 64/14, to promote tourism in Paris France.

It features an artwork image originally created by Dufy in 1930 titled " Le Paddock A Deauville ( detail ) ", Ch. Sorlier Sculp, lithographer. The original painting is held in the collection of The Musee National D'Art Moderne, Paris.

Raoul Dufy ( 1887 - 1953 ) was a French painter associated with The Fauvist Movement. He gained recognition for his vibrant decorative style, which became popular in various forms including textile designs, and public mural decorations. He is most recognized for his works emphasizing bright colors and bold contours depicting Contemporary scenes of elegant social gatherings, French Riviera landscapes, and interior still life compositions.

In addition to painting, he was prolific in various other fields, including drawing, printmaking, book illustrations, scenic design, furniture design, and public spaces planning. The artworks of Dufy are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.

The venerable famous printing house of Imprimerie Mourlot Paris was founded in 1852 by The Mourlot Family. It is known worldwide for its fine art lithography printing, and one of their most important contributions was top be the art poster. Mourlot became the place where posters were prepared and produced as works of art in their own right.

Beginning in the 1930's Fernand Mourlot invited the major master artists of the time into the lithography studio to learn the medium of printing together. Encouraging the artists to work directly on the lithography plates to create original prints and posters in limited editions. The results of this artistic collaboration between master artists and Mourlot became internationally known for their originality, beauty, and exquisite craftsmanship.

The rare out of print large format framed lithograph print French tracel poster measures 40 3/4" W X 25 5/8" H X 1 1/4" D.

It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern satin finish natural oak wood museum box style frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

It is in excellent condition. The poster print is in excellent vintage condition consistent with age, light signs of handling, and some light to moderate visible surface wear.
