Ned Foltz 2001 Redware Hand Turned, Signed Medium Size Cachepot With Black Glaze and Brown, Yellow & Green Slip Decoration
Crafted in the old Pennsylvania German tradition of redware making, this cachepot is is 6" high, 8.12" in diameter and weighs about 3.25 pounds.
It is decorated using traditional redware slip techniques. This one is a bit special because Ned Foltz himself inscribed on the bottom that he hand turned it.
Condition: Very good to excellent structurally. The glaze is in great shape overall as well, but there is one spot where it looks like the glaze didn't take or the slip fell off before firing. You can see this on picture 10. So this is not a caused after ownership- it dates back to manufacturing.
