Beautiful vintage Japanese 4-panel folding painted silk Byobu (screen), depicting a peaceful landscape with big old pine trees. Signed. Watercolor, gouache and ink on gold paper. Silk border. Lacquered black wood frame with engraved copper corners and medallions, showing age patina. Paper on back. Detailed. Good condition - some age wear overall, barely visible repair on one panel, water stains on silk border, repairs on back, strong hinges, clean, sturdy. Japan, Shōwa Era, circa 1950-1960s.
