The crystal clear lucite box is spherically cut on the inside and etched with with world's continents and latitudes/longitudes lines, as well as an orbiting moon in one corner. Albrizzi's work was highly sought after by the "jet set" crowd of the 1960s and 1970s, and this design was a nod to that lifestyle. Rare and still highly sought after today.

Baron Alessandro Albrizzi played a significant role in pioneering mid-century furniture design, particularly in London, where he established his first shop in 1968.
