The oval frame is adorned with a beaded border and carved acanthus motifs, all retaining a warm, time-softened gilt finish that accentuates the neoclassical detailing.
Raised on six fluted and tapering legs joined by a shaped X-form stretcher with a central carved medallion, the bench presents a light and graceful profile typical of Louis XVI design. The hand-caned seat, executed in a traditional six-way pattern, remains in excellent condition with only minor wear and natural darkening from age.
