A bold and sculptural piece from the 1980s, this vintage bronze vase by California Bronze mimics the form of a crumpled paper lunch bag, reimagined in solid metal with a highly polished, rich bronze finish. A remarkable example of trompe-l’œil artistry, the piece combines industrial strength with playful, everyday realism.
The surface features intentional folds, creases, and irregularities that closely resemble the texture of crinkled paper, while the jagged, torn-like opening adds a dynamic, deconstructed edge.
