1970's Mauro Manetti Italian Silver & Gold Plate Cast Metel Pineapple Ice Bucket
Signed on the base: “M/M Modi RISI Italy.” This is a fantastic example of his mid-century highly collectible functional art pieces. Very good vintage condition. Some light chipping on gold surface due to age, but a beautiful piece and very clean. Stands 10 inches by 5.5 inches wide
Mauro Manetti was an Italian designer and manufacturer based in Florence, active primarily during the 1960s and 1970s. He became widely known for producing high-end decorative objects in cast and silver-plated metal, including ice buckets shaped like fruit, animals, and birds — most famously, the pineapple. He produced his products in Italy with the Fonderia d'Arte Firenze (Florence Foundry of Arts).
