They originally apeared in a French magazine of the time. They are NOT recent reproduction prints. They showcase fur designs for Christian Dior and Yves St Laurent. They are electrifying images done in black and white that showcase Viramontes' New Wave energy and vibrancy. Viramontes was a creative force in the 1980s. His work was bold and shattering. He worked with iconic names such as Valentino, YSL, Dior, Montana, etc. He was an acclaimed portrait illustrator of Isabella Rossellini and Paloma Picasso and he worked on record albums for Janet Jackson. Unfortunatley, his creative career ended in 1988 during the AIDs epidemic. This strong and dynamic set of fashion haute couture fur designs were for Dior and YSL. The images are pristine. They are intense, sexually charged, and brash. They measure 9 x 12.25 inches in size. Each is mated in a white 16 x 20 inch custom mat, ready for a standard size frame. See less
