This handsome lamp combines elements from different styles, with elements of Hollywood regency and Art Nouveau being dominant. The round piece at the top looks like stone, but it's actually wood with a beautiful painted finish. Ditto re: the base. You'd swear it's brass, but it's also carved wood, also with a painted finish that totally resembles aged brass.
I'm not sure about the origins or the age of the piece, but it appears to be from the 60s or 70s. It has, of course, recently been rewired and has a 3-way socket. In the Measurements section, the Length (more accurately, the Height) is 21", and that is to the top of the lamp itself, not including the socket. With a shade, the overall height would be approximately 32 +/- inches.
