A chased aluminum relief panel of a bird made by the Nigerian artist Toyin Folorunso. This 21st century work portrays the abstracted form of a bird to the left of a leafy tree. Folorunso's signature is in relief on the bottom of the panel and the wear on this piece is appropriate for its age.
Toyin Folorunso's work has been sought after by many private collectors and exhibited widely across the world. He was born in Nigeria to a family of artists. He is known for his detailed reliefs on aluminum which display folk art techniques which have been long held traditions for generations.
