My knowledge of these roots is lacking except they are grown in the dense forests on the foothills in Southwest China. The terrain is treacherous I was told, and accessible only to the natives of the area - tribal people who form China's minority. It is all mysterious. I found root stumps among the root sculptures in a shop in South China. They make excellent plant stands. The root stand has been cleaned and a protective coating applied. See less
