this rare rocking chair was designed by axel einar hjorth for nordiska kompaniet and executed in solid swedish oak in 1928.

the chair is marked with the original nk brass plaque, inscribed: “ab nordiska kompaniet r 31216 13 10 28”, clearly confirming production date and institutional provenance.

the oak surface exhibits a well-developed, dark patina with a natural glow, particularly evident in the carved details and softly contoured elements. The original wicker backrest remains in good condition and contributes to the chair’s authentic period character.
