The exterior is richly decorated, featuring a fish theme. Mata Ortiz is a pottery style that references the ceramic traditions of the Mogollon culture. Specifically, pottery recovered at the Casas Grandes site in Chihuahua Mexico. There are no chips or cracks to note on this vessel. Areas of scuffing (some of which may be surface debris) are noted as well as possible in the photos. The piece is signed on the bottom. See less
