Italian gilt jewelry box. Lidded and heavily carved with bound laurels topped by egg and dart borders. The whole is standing on three ball feet.
The stone scene is a flying bird chasing a butterfly and a flying dragonfly. All in great detail and multiple stone sections to create the wide colors and patterns of the animals. The stone is 2.25 in diameter, and the box is 3.5" in diameter and 2.5"tall.
