This is a flared ceramic vase, vintage , decorated with a classic equestrian fox hunting scene. The imagery depicts several riders in red hunting coats (often called “pinks”) on horseback, accompanied by a pack of hounds. The background includes detailed elements like stone fences, trees, and rolling fields, painted in a traditional illustrative style with fine linework and color blocking.
The upper rim is adorned with a repeating geometric motif—a border with circular patterns in gold, red, and black on a navy-blue band, adding a decorative and formal touch to the design.
From the bottom Made in Japan” foil sticker, indicating that the vase is a mid-century Japanese export piece, possibly from the 1950s–1970s. The bottom also shows wear consistent with age, and it’s accented with felt pads—likely added to protect surfaces during display.
