A stunning pair of gilded "Made in Italy" Borghese Cone shaped finial bookends. Circa Mid 20th Century. Original Borghese tag on the bottom. These handsome weighted bookends feature a rectangular base with tabs. Rising up from the base the finial style cones/acorn/pineapple are each set in leafy foliate. They are a solid weight and appear to be made of resin or plaster. A beautiful addition to a bookshelf, mantel or coffee table.
