This is Truly a Classic Antique American Late Victorian Period Wall Hanging Framed Parlor Motto.
"Home Sweet Home". Circa Late 19th Century. The Motto is Beautifully and Artfully Hand Embroidered with Possibly ? Silk Threads. The inner Frame - Motto is Highlighted - Embellished with a 22k Gold Leaf Molding. Trim. It Still Retains its All Original Fancy Deeply Recessed & Sculpted Black Walnut Wood Frame with Glass Front. It is in Very Good All Original Condition and Lightly Aged giving it a Wonderful Authentic Old Look. No Damage. I have Added a New Wire Hanger so it is Ready to be Hung on the Wall in the Special Spot. Note that These Types of Victorian Framed Motto's were Often Used as Hung Over a Hearth - Fireplace.
