This vintage water pot was handmade by the Nupe people of central Nigeria, where it was traditionally used for storing and cooling water. Its organic shape, earthy surface, and subtle irregularities reflect the artisanal techniques passed down through generations.
Each pot is formed from clay, then fired and finished by hand. You’ll notice unique differences in shape, tone, and texture—some with soft indentations, others with smoke markings or light surface wear. These are quiet signs of use and history, not imperfections.
