This beautiful vase … Read more Offering a stunning early-20th century earthenware bud vase produced by the Arabia Porcelain Factory in Helsinki, Finland. This beautiful vase is part of Arabia's 'Fennia" series, which was designed and manufactured for export during the early-20th century (from 1900 through the early 1920s). The Fennia series, which played a role in promoting Finnish culture and national identity abroad, features geometric patterns inspired by ancient Finno-Ugric designs, including motifs from Finnish folk embroidery and textiles. This gorgeous cast white Fennia earthenware vase features a tall cylindrical stem with wider circular foot embellished with Art Nouveau-style geometric patterns printed and hand-painted in an overglaze combination of pink, green, black, and yellow. A rare and beautiful antique piece. Maker's mark on bottom. See less

There is a small white spot on the foot of the vase that looks (but doesn't feel) like a chip. It might be a spot missed by the artist during glazing. These minor "imperfections" do not detract from the overall look of the piecel but do tend to enhance its antique character. less
