Inspired by the timeless designs of Alvar Aalto, this vintage-style bentwood bar stool features the iconic L-leg construction and minimalist Scandinavian form that Aalto pioneered in the 1930s. Crafted of laminated birch with a circular seat and lower footrest ring, the stool captures the warm, organic elegance of Nordic modernism.
Stamped “Made in Romania” on the underside, this piece is likely a licensed or reproduction version of Aalto’s classic Stool 64, produced outside Finland. It exhibits quality construction and refined curves characteristic of the original Artek designs.

I don’t see any damage that would not easily sand out upon refinishing. As pictured, one stool has had something dripped on it that etched the surface of one leg and etched the top surface of the stool. less
