The type of wood is presumed to be rosewood. Per family photographs, this set of tables belonged to our grandparents since at least the mid-1950’s, though they are likely a bit older than that. Sturdily built and infinitely practical for small spaces, this set of tables allows for a rapid increase in surface area when separated – a huge plus for entertaining! Unfortunately, due to downsizing, we need them to find a new home. Each table is stamped “made in Hong Kong” on the underside of the table top, and the smallest table bears an importer’s label. Felt pads are on the bottoms of all legs for ease in moving them about and avoiding scratching floors. Minor wear consistent with an item that is greater than 70 years old.

When fully nested, the set corresponds to measurements of the largest table. Table sizes, largest to smallest:
