We are selling this large Italian Old Master painting of Saint Matthew. This painting is one of a pair from an estate, possibly after Jusepe de Ribera. The painting features a dark portrait of Saint Matthew posed with a halberd. The painting has been re-lined.
Condition: Heavy craquelure and darkening to the varnish. Has been re-lined and possibly restored.
