This retro handsome fellow is looking for a new place to hang out, your home perhaps? Kept indoors all his life, this cutie will continue to look as great as he does today if kept indoors or, if placing outdoors, keep him out of the out of the elements on a covered patio, entryway or screened in porch. The fabulous burnished brown and umber body with assorted undertones of mocha and chestnut is accented with a color palette of jade green, soft cornflower blue and crisp off-white. On the top platform you will find an incised Chinese shòu character surrounded by four flying bats, which represents longevity. On each side the decorative motif consists of the same Chinese shòu character accompanied by an incised floral and vine motif. This cutie measures 17” x 21” x 9” H/W/D; weight 20 lbs.; handcrafted from moulded earthenware. Handcrafted in Vietnam by an unknown artisan (red makers stamp on the underside is faded) sometime in the 1970s to early 1980s. In excellent condition; glazed finish is nicely preserved, minimal wear with indiscernible crazing.

As an eclectic plant stand or petite side table, in or out of doors, he will complement most any décor style impeccably!
