A Very Imposing example of an English well figured Rosewood Regency Period rectangular Lady’s single drawer Desk or occasional side table of compact proportions, in the manner of renowned Cabinet Makers Gillows of Lancaster and London. Circa 1815-20.
The rectangular surface with rounded corners above a single drawer enclosing a green baise adjustable writing surface, raised on turned and fluted legs and trestle supports, ending on bun feet complete with original castors Back view with a dummy drawer, see late images.
Condition: Good condition for such an early piece with no losses anywhere, nice surface patination allover. Lock and key are present and working
