Beautiful 19th Century Keepsake or Tramp Art Jewelry Box by or for a veteran. Most likely from Germany or France as the underside of the box shows a paper product band for a cigarette box from the Alsace Region. The box has a rich dark wood color and is wrapped in green fabric. The colors have aged very well.
The inside green and red fabric are little more vibrant, personally the little muted green color on the outside of the box is showing very well. Incredible decorative box, that will go very every kind of decor.
