French Demijohn / Carboy originally used for transporting wine (early 20th Century, France).
Composed of attractive amber free-blown glass exhibiting trapped air bubbles within the glass itself with an applied, un-sheared thick ring.
Very good, vintage condition with minimal exterior scuffing along with light interior soiling/spotting from use.
There are a couple of deep lines toward the base that result from the glass being melded together (not damage).
Both the interior and exterior of the piece have been thoroughly cleaned.
H: 25.5" x Diameter: 17.13"
Other Italian and French demijohns available separately. See group shots for other examples. (This bottle is the furthest to the left on the bottom in the group images.)
