Working in the Art Nouveau period style of Austrian Symbolist painter Gustav Klimt, artist Irina V. Karkabi has given form in this painting to the unimaginable, the moments whereby Biblical Eve arose perfectly formed out of Adam’s own rib.
Born 1960 in Kharkiv, Ukraine, Karkabi attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Today, working in her Haifa, Israel studio, she creates works in exploration of the mystery of love and feminine beauty in the Art Nouveau style.
