this armchair is a remarkable example of the elegant and innovative aesthetic of viennese art nouveau. This beech and brass work reflects the ability of designers of the time to harmoniously combine functionality and decoration. It appears in the 1915 kohn catalog; it is no longer represented in the thonet/mundus/kohn catalogs from 1920 onward.

this armchair is upholstered in a backhausen fabric (zackenkrone, design by joseph hoffmann no. Md586a06), and the back of the backrest is covered in neutral white leather. We have preserved the brass legs with their aged patina. This piece has an attribution mark,
