This is a beautiful pitcher from GDA, Gerard, Dufraisseix & Abbot, Limoges, France. Produced in 1901 by an artist who initialed it E.D, this hand painted, embossed, pitcher has a pattern of gorgeous yellow roses on a brown and green background. Very hard to find with original lid.
Emile Gerard, Jules Dufraisseix and Edgar Abbot started the company GDA in 1899. They manufactured porcelain items in Limoges, France with the intention to export them to the USA. Since Abbot lived in New York he facilitated the exportation.
The pitcher is 10" H, 4 1/2" x 5 3/8" W from spout to handle. It is in excellent condition. There are no chips or cracks.
