Created from a very large tree burl, identified as Ambonya wood, the piece is an organic example of the beauty of woodgrain and the deformities that occur in wood which has endured stress while growing.

This Brutalist organic-style vessel will add an earthy feel of nature to your home or office.

To hold water for a single stem or two, a glass Pyrex beaker is inserted. This decor piece also would hold a large round candle or serving plate. It is a vision all of it’s own

Provenance:
Resourced from an 88 year old collector’s living estate. The newspaper these were wrapped in was dated 1983- its vintage age at minimum. Estimates are 1960’s-70’s as these Burl wood weed pot or bud vases with glass inserts were popularized. See less
