Beautiful desk designed by Hans J. Wegner for Getama, Denmark, 1970. This desk with two drawers was originally designed for a Danish school and later also sold for private use. Beautiful linear design with floating drawers and a subtly raised top. The desk is made of beech wood and is a very well-crafted piece of mid-century furniture from Denmark. The desk is in good original condition with normal signs of age and use.
The standard version was equipped with a veneered worktop, as shown in the accompanying brochure, but it was also manufactured with a laminate worktop for a school so that the worktop could better withstand daily wear and tear.
The key is no longer available. This piece has an attribution mark,
