Hand carved and popular in the late 1800's, Dough bowls, also commonly referred to as trenchers, were a staple in every household.
No two are the same, and the hand carved details and imperfections that have formed over the decades are what make each piece beautiful, distinct and unique.
This bowl has a couple minor imperfections as shown in the photos, and a great shape and colouring.
This bowl also sits perfectly flat making it ideal for a table centrepiece or countertop highlight. This long, lean shape is very desirable.
