A single petrified-wood wash basin in a shapely, mostly oval form. This petrified wood sink has a polished finish basin, making for easy clean-up, surrounded by an unpolished, natural textured "live-edge" exterior. The colors are primarily black with cream and rust within the basin, and shades mostly of cream with some hints of rust about the exterior perimeter. Petrified wood is the result of a tree, or portion thereof, which has transitioned to stone over a period of time via a process referred to as permineralization. During this process, all of the trees organic materials are replaced with minerals, while retaining the original structure. The remaining product, which can take millions of years to achieve, is so sturdy and dense that it is as heavy as marble. The sink has been drilled for US plumbing. This petrified wood sink would be a wonderful way to incorporate a little of nature's art into your bathroom or powder room.
