Framed, on a Mat Board, Mid-20th Century Art Story Cloth (Paj Ntaub, or Flower Cloth) with a blue, white and gray stitched trim. Attached descriptive documentation. It is in good to excellent condition. Generally considered to have originated in the mid-1970's by Hmong women in refugee camps in Thailand and Loas but like many, we believe they are beautiful examples of their culture, skill, and history.
The Cloth and frame are square, 31.5"x 31.5".
The theme appears to be related to the Hmong's history, as refugees of the Vietnam War.
We believe the scene includes an airplane, soldiers and people swimming in a river.
The bottom shows the arrival and greeting of one individual by another group dressed in traditional attire.
The frame is white, and glass and the Cloth is attached to a Mat Board.
