Offered is a hand-painted and burnished glaze vintage late 1970s, or early 1980s owl figurine made in Tonalá, Jalisco, Mexico, a province renowned for its earth-tone clay and for all the pottery and ceramic art created since the 1950s.
This owl measures approximately 6.625" W x 3.875" D x 5.875" H and is created with predominantly earth-tones - a black background and decorated in brown, gray, and green, depicting the flower native to the region on the rear. There is no maker's mark, however, it still bears a label that says "MADE IN MEXICO" adhered on the bottom.
