This is an old preserving jar that has the capacity of 1 liter. It comes with a glass lid. It features a heart and floral design with the words, "Schutzmarke J. W. Frischhaltung 1 Ltr" on the front. The lid features the words, "11A Weck's Frischhaltung." The bottom is also marked, "Weck's Frischhaltung." These jars were produced between 1910 - 1970.
Featured in the Werkbund Archive - Museum of Things in Berlin.
Please note that the lid does not have a fit tightly and has some room to move around. I'm not sure if these jar used rubber gaskets.
