Chaise longue designed in 1938 by the Italian painter, graphic artist and architect Gabriele Mucchi.
Gabriele Mucchi fought as a partisan with the anti-fascist Brigate Garibaldi during the Second World War. After the war he lived for many years in East Berlin, where he worked as a professor at the Berlin Weissensee Art School.
The artist is considered a co-founder of “New Realism” (Nuovo Realismo), whose works are exhibited in numerous renowned museums.
Frame made of chrome-plated tubular steel. Cushion covered with black genuine leather. Seat position adjustable. There is a small area of damage in the leather on the ottoman.
