An elegant pair of French hand-wrought iron fireplace andirons, made in the 18th century if not earlier. They are Gothic in style with a reddish brown patina from oxidation of the iron and centuries of exposure to high heat. These heavy andirons come with adjustable spit hooks to roast food over the fire, and caged baskets at the top for keeping cups or bowls warm. Please view the detailed images to see more.
