the process:
After drawing my design, the image is carved into wood using chisels and gouges. Once the carving is complete, ink is rolled onto the surface of the block. Next, paper is placed on top of the block, and I use a hand tool to apply pressure, forcing the ink onto the paper. The result is the reverse image printed on paper. Each image is printed by hand, please embrace slight variations:)

about my work:
I'm a full time artist with a BFA from Laguna College of Art & Design, where I majored in drawing and painting, working primarily from life and the nude figure. My work is inspired by nature, my everyday surroundings, and a collection of old photographs. I show in galleries and exhibitions in addition to selling directly from my studio.
