- The top piece comes off. I would guess it was made this way but I am not positive. It locks … moreThe top piece comes off. I would guess it was made this way but I am not positive. It locks into place when you place the top piece of the drawer portion. As it has two metal curved hinges in the back. But. The thin sheet of wood does not extend up to the top piece. The back wood piece has warping mostly toward the bottom. There is discoloration in the bottom of the back. All drawers function. The bottom right drawer takes some patience to put in but goes in flush. All drawers have a perfect cut whole in each drawer. Two knobs are loose and cannot be tighten with a screwdriver,I tried. One drawer has paint on it. One drawer has a crack and was repaired. You can see the crack and repair. There are scratches, discoloration, and a cup mark on the top. less
