A lovely late-19th century English pine chest, circa 1880, full of the gentle character that only time can give. Its classic configuration—two smaller top drawers over three full-width drawers—offers practical storage while keeping the proportions beautifully balanced. Each drawer retains its original turned wooden knobs and charming keyholes, subtle details that speak to its age and authenticity.
The pine has mellowed to a soft, honeyed tone, with natural knots, understated wear, and a smooth hand-rubbed surface that reflects more than 160 years of use. Resting on simple tulip feet, the piece has a grounded, timeless silhouette that blends seamlessly into both traditional and contemporary interiors.
