Add a beautiful and serene Native American theme to your decor with this fine lithograph dating to the early 1900s by artist, James Arthur.
Minnehaha is a Native American woman documented in Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's 1855 epic poem The Song of Hiawatha. She is the lover of the titular protagonist Hiawatha and comes to a tragic end. The name, often said to mean "laughing water", literally translates to "waterfall" or "rapid water" in Dakota. This lithograph retains its original painted and textured wood frame and its old wavy glass which adds a certain depth to the lithograph. The lithograph is in excellent condition with bold colors and free of tears, foxing or repairs. The original wood frame is stable and in very good antique condition with normal wear from age and use. It Includes a new archival acid-free backing with paper cover as shown and is ready to display.
