Six Japanese Arita porcelain dishes perfectly sized for sushi, appetizers, or snacks with gently upturned edges to keep soy sauce or other condiments neatly contained. Completing the set are six coordinating blue koi chopstick rests and six pairs of wooden chopsticks. Each dish showcases a delicate raised rippling water pattern and is adorned with a pair of gracefully swimming blue koi fish—a timeless symbol of good fortune and perseverance in Japanese culture. The dishes were sold through Gump’s of San Francisco, circa 1970s–1980s.
