A handsome pair of vintage cast stone planters by A. Silvestri Co. of San Francisco, dating to the 1960s. These substantial pieces feature a woven faux wicker motif with a deep rolled rim and verdigris patina throughout. Crafted in heavy concrete with a molded signature inside each planter, they are ideal for flanking an entry, anchoring a terrace, or styling a formal garden. Hole in bottom, approximately 55 lbs each.
About the Maker:
Founded in San Francisco in 1956 by Adorno and Alfeo Silvestri, A. Silvestri Co. is known for its finely made cast stone and cement statuary. The Silvestri family began ornamental plasterwork in the city as early as 1900, and today the company remains family-run, preserving traditional hand-finishing techniques across generations.
