Found in thailand, burma or laos towards the end of the 19th century, it uses the traditional motifs of concentric circles and relief ornaments, including small frogs arranged on the upper surface, symbols of fertility and prosperity.
although these drums are inspired by very old vietnamese models, they probably date from a more recent period (19th century), while retaining the refinement and elegance of the historical pieces. Their greenish patina and finely carved details illustrate the lasting influence of artisanal techniques passed down through the centuries.
