Mid 20th Century Hand Crafted Split Pencil Reed Vase.
Crafted from high-quality rattan, wicker, and bamboo materials, this 16-inch vase boasts a beautiful bulb shape.
The vase was expertly crafted in Italy and you can see the workmanship put in by hand. Please refer to photos.
Many high-quality Tuscan and Sicilian pieces develop a golden patina over time, especially when they’re made from fine rattan or willow. This aging process tends to highlight the craftsmanship, reinforcing its authenticity and artisanal nature. This vase definitely shows signs of age and has a golden hue to it where there are imperfections. Please refer to all photos. The last photo is a picture of the underside of the vase.
Opening diameter is 6 inches. Stands 16 inches tall and is 8 1/4 inches at the widest point. The bottom diameter is 5 3/4 inches.
