The Blue Town Car
Original pastel / pen and ink on board of a charming 1920s automobile in a landscape residential scene.
14" by 10", unframed. Likely 1980s/90s.
Presents as a charming folk scene with a playful, vibrant vibe. Upon closer inspection, it quickly becomes a very nice and well crafted art work - beautiful detail, wonderful texture, and terrific use of color and tone.
Gorgeous blue, vibrant greens, brick red and perfectly edged black lead with this one.
Would be wonderful in a child's room, among a set of small paintings, or in an American primitive collection.

We discovered this at one of our favorite spots for primitive and outsider work. It's fun - that pop of color and whimsey in a great room that is actually a well crafted work. The blue is perfect, too...so, we brought it home.
