Antique Chinese decorated Jewelry/fruit box. Beautiful decorated Chinoiserie box used to serve fruits and special treats or store Jewelry and valuable things. Hand painting over red lacquer. Strong patina of wear some loses to the finish where the old wood is worn through. Box is somewhat rustic in condition. Over the course of its life span the box has been continued to be lacquered to maintain it for use. It was also used for jewelry or valuable stuffs.
