A beautiful and intriguing expressionist style oil on board painting of stormy seascape with several boats under sail. Shows dramatic dark and brightly lit sky and possibly an isle in the distance. Very small signature is hard to discern but could be the initials “LP”.
Live area of the painting is 7-3/8” wide and 5-1/2” tall.
The quality wood frame appears to be original to the piece. Original seller’s business card on back of frame helps date the piece.
