I've loved Maitland-Smith furniture ever since I discovered this manufacturer a few years ago, so I was delighted when I … Read more I've loved Maitland-Smith furniture ever since I discovered this manufacturer a few years ago, so I was delighted when I came across this elegant table with its intricate inlaid wood design and gilt brass paw feet! It has been well cared for over the years, but there are a few flaws that I need to point out. There is a small chip in the veneer on the edge of the top (refer to picture 10). There are also two small spots of red paint on the top of the table (refer to picture 11). When you look at the table top as a whole, you will have a hard time locating these flaws because they're not that noticeable (refer to picture 7), but I need to bring them to your attention. This table doesn't have the usual gold sticker under the top indicating that it was made in the Philippines by Maitland-Smith. There is only the number 087 that was painted on the underside, possibly the model number.

I photographed this table outside on a sunny day. The color of the wood will look different in an interior setting under artificial light. Please take this into consideration when considering adding this fine piece to your home.
